(iii) Research Achievements :

      • Prepared quality casing and scum meal from goat intestine.
      • The protein contents of ruminal content can be increased from 16.13% to 60.48%  on dry matter basis after mixing and drying five times with blood of slaughterhouse. The prepared ruminal content with blood may be used as poultry feed.
      • Standardized the technique for production of plain and chromic catgut from goat intestine and collagen sheet from buffalo intestine.

Pet food incorporated with mixed by-products meal showed good overall palatability and gave better response in maintaining dogs. Only the pet food incorporated with pig by-products meal showed the least effect on the performance of dogs while other pet food faired well on dog's performance. The cost involved in the preparation of pet food was well in the range of Rs. 30-35 / kg
      • Pre-blending of ground buffalo meat with anti-oxidants showed better effect in maintaining the quality of meat.
      • Treatment with either 2% lactic acid +20% Nacl or Ginger extract +20% Nacl were found to be safe for maintaining the quality of buffalo meat.
